Y Gorlan - Uk6403
Y Gorlan is near Llanllechid, up in the hills. It's detached, single storey, so everything's on one level. Good if stairs are an issue. It's in the grounds of our smallholding, so you'll see sheep in the fields. There's another cottage nearby, Beudy Newydd, but you've got your own space.
It's a four star place. Sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom that has a shower. You can bring one dog. The main thing is the view. You're about a thousand feet up, so from the living room and the garden you look out over rolling hills towards the mountains. It's very quiet.
There's an enclosed garden with a patio. It gets the sun in the afternoon. Inside it's open plan, with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area together. It's got the basics: TV, WiFi, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
For getting out, there are footpaths straight from the door. The North Wales cycle route goes through the village. You can drive to Penrhyn Castle in about ten minutes. Bangor is fifteen minutes away for shops. The Aber Falls waterfall is a fifteen minute drive, then a walk to see it.
The coast at Penmaenmawr is about five miles. For a bigger beach, Llandudno is under half an hour's drive. Snowdonia is right there. You're about twenty minutes from the Ogwen Valley for walks. Useful links for planning: Visit Wales and National Trust Wales.
There's a shop half a mile away, a pub just over a mile, and a restaurant about two and a half miles. Parking is on site. If you've got a bigger group, you can book Y Gorlan together with Beudy Newydd next door.
