This is Kings House, in Beaumaris on Anglesey. It's a big old townhouse in a row of houses right on the high street. It used to be an inn a long time ago, but it's just a holiday house now. From the front it looks fairly normal, but it's much bigger inside than you'd think.
It sleeps twelve, which makes sense because there are six bedrooms and four bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs are typical for an old house, so they're a bit steep.
Out the back there's a good-sized courtyard garden. You get to it through the conservatory and a smaller snug room.
Location wise, you're right in the middle of town. The local pub is about twenty yards away. Shops are a couple of minutes' walk. The nearest bit of beach is also just a minute's walk, though it's more of a shore than a sandy beach. For a proper sandy beach, Red Wharf Bay is about ten minutes by car. Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay are also good and are within half an hour.
The Menai Strait is right there, so sailing is a big thing here. There are two golf courses nearby if that's your interest. Beaumaris itself has the castle, the old gaol, and a Victorian pier you can walk along.
If you want to explore further, Snowdonia is about half an hour's drive over the bridge. Llandudno is a nice day out, around forty minutes away. You can get the Ffestiniog Railway from Porthmadog, which is also under an hour.
For facilities, you've got pretty much everything: WiFi, TVs, a dishwasher, washing machine, bike storage, and a BBQ in the courtyard. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to three well-behaved dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
