The Old Smithy is on Anglesey, in a small, quiet place called Llanfaes. It used to be a blacksmith's, so it's an old building with the beams and stone fireplaces still in place. It's been converted now, but it's not a modern new-build. It sleeps eight, but that's across three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs, one is on the ground floor. There are three bathrooms, which helps.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The main living room has high ceilings and a big fireplace. It's a nice room to sit in. The kitchen has a sofa and a wood burner in it, so it's a social space. There's a Rangemaster cooker, a dishwasher, and a washing machine.
The garden is enclosed and gets the sun. There's a BBQ and furniture out there. You can bring up to two dogs.
A point about the stairs: they are the original cottage stairs. They're steep in places and a bit narrow. Just something to be aware of.
You're about a mile from Beaumaris. It's a proper little town with a castle, shops, pubs, and a waterfront. Everything you'd need is there. The coast road is half a mile away, so you can get to other beaches and walks on Anglesey easily. The coast path is accessible from nearby.
Useful links if you're planning ahead: Visit Anglesey and National Trust Wales. For the castle in Beaumaris, you can look at Cadw's site.
Facilities are all there. Bedding is included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. Parking is on site. The Wi-Fi is fibre optic, so it's reliable.
