Blue Sails is on the Anglesey coast, between Beaumaris and the Menai Bridge. It's a cottage that's been here a while. The back garden goes right down to the shore. When the tide's in, you can hear the water against the wall.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a decent 4 star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The quirk is the lane down to it. It's a single track with a couple of tight passing places. You get used to it. There's on-site parking.
Because it's right on the water, you get a lot of wildlife. Seabirds obviously, but you might see porpoises out in the Straits, and sometimes a seal.
There's also a separate pine lodge next door, called the Beach House. It's single-storey and sleeps four. You can rent them together if you're a bigger group.
The facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, TV, a wood burner for cooler nights. Bedding's included. We can take one well-behaved dog. There's a stairgate if you need it.
Beaumaris is about ten minutes by car. Nice little town with a castle, shops, and places to eat. You can get boat trips out to Puffin Island from there. Bangor is fifteen minutes for bigger supermarkets.
The coastal path is on your doorstep for walks. The whole area is protected, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
