Bank House is in Beaumaris, right on the waterfront. It's a terraced house, Georgian I think. You look straight out over the Menai Strait to the Snowdonia mountains. You cross the road and you're by the sea.
It sleeps nine people. Five bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a listed building, so it's full of character but it's not a new build. The stairs are a point to note, they're steep in places and a bit narrow. Just be aware if you've got toddlers or anyone less steady on their feet.
You're right in the town. There's a pub about 50 yards away, and shops 100 yards. Beaumaris Castle is a five minute walk. It's a proper castle, well worth a look. The old gaol and courthouse are nearby too. For ice cream, Red Boat is the one everyone goes to.
The pier is just along the front. Good for crabbing. You can get boat trips from there to Puffin Island if you're lucky with the weather.
Further out, Plas Newydd is about a twenty minute drive. It's a National Trust house with big gardens. Foel Farm Park is good for kids, that's about fifteen minutes away. The whole of Anglesey is easy to explore from here. You're about half an hour from the bridges back to the mainland, so Snowdonia is within easy reach for a day trip.
For facilities, you've got the main things: parking on site, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. There's a patio area out the back. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
If you're planning days out, these might be useful: National Trust Wales, Visit Wales, and Snowdonia National Park.
