The Owl Barn is in Llangaffo. It's a village in the middle of Anglesey. You’re basically surrounded by fields. The barn itself is stone, converted from what it says on the tin.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one twin. Two bathrooms, which is handy. There's a shower room downstairs and a family bathroom upstairs with a shower over a small bath. The stairs are wooden and a bit steep, like most barn conversions.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. The kitchen's got what you need, including a dishwasher. There's a wood burner in the living area. It heats the whole place well. The garden's private, and then you have access to a big shared meadow and woodland behind the property. Good for letting dogs run. We allow two dogs.
It's a 5 Star place. That means it's well finished, everything works, and it's kept to a high standard. We include bedding and towels. There's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and an electric vehicle charger on site.
For getting out, you need a car. Newborough Beach and forest are about a 20-minute drive. It's a huge sandy beach. You can walk out to Llanddwyn Island at low tide. The National Trust looks after it.
Beaumaris is about 15 minutes away. The castle is there, and you can get boat trips from the pier. Menai Bridge is the same sort of distance if you want to cross over to the mainland. The Visit Wales site has a lot on the area.
Holyhead and South Stack lighthouse are roughly half an hour's drive. It's a dramatic bit of coast. You can sometimes see puffins there in season.
We provide a cot and a high chair if you need them. The property is set up for Christmas, with a tree and decorations.
