The Farmhouse

The Farmhouse is in Llangaffo, on Anglesey. It's one of a few cottages here, part of an old farm. It's detached, so it's just you and the garden. You look out over fields.

It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom is an ensuite off the double room, which also has a single bed in it. That's handy if you've got kids. The other is a family bathroom upstairs. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and everything works.

You get the garden to yourselves. Beyond that, there's nearly two acres of meadow and woods that all the cottages here share. Good for a walk with the dog or letting kids run about. We take up to two dogs.

Inside, there's a wood burner in the lounge. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine in the utility room. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside and an electric vehicle charger.

For the area, Newborough Beach and Forest are about a 15 minute drive. It's a really good beach, with dunes and views out to Llanddwyn Island. The National Trust looks after it.

Beaumaris is about 20 minutes away. The castle there is a Cadw site. Menai Bridge is similar distance, good for a wander and something to eat. The Sea Zoo is just past there.

If you want to go further, Holyhead and South Stack are maybe 30 minutes. The RSPB has a reserve at South Stack.
