This is Douglas. It's a pod on a farm near Cairngarroch, in the Rhins of Galloway. It's one of two pods here, called Douglas and Keith. They're separate from each other and you get your own bit outside.
It's for two people. One room, with a double bed, and a shower room. Everything's open plan. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. There's a small kitchen area, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
The view is the main thing. You look out over farmland to the Irish Sea. There's a covered porch to sit on. It's very quiet.
Portpatrick is about ten minutes by car. It's a small harbour village with pubs and places to eat. The Southern Upland Way passes nearby if you like walking. The cliffs are good. You can see Dunskey Castle from the path.
Within half an hour you can get to a few places. Logan Botanic Garden is about twenty minutes away. The Mull of Galloway, which is the southernmost point, is half an hour's drive. There's a lighthouse there. Stranraer is about twenty minutes in the other direction for bigger shops.
There's parking right outside the pod.
