2 Mote View

This is number 2 Mote View, in Sandhead. It's a semi-detached bungalow, built in 2021. It's modern and clean, with a 5 Star rating. That means it's well equipped and finished to a good standard. It's all on one level, which is handy.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an en-suite. All the beds are decent, the bedding is good quality. There are Smart TVs in the bedrooms and the living room. The internet is Starlink, so it's very fast, even out here.

The garden is enclosed, which is good for kids and dogs. You're allowed two pets. There's patio furniture and a gas barbecue out there.

You're about a two-minute walk from a long, sandy beach. The village has a pub that does food, a restaurant, and a small shop for basics.

Portpatrick is a 15-minute drive north. It's a nice little harbour village. To the south, you've got the Mull of Galloway, which is Scotland's most southerly point. The views from the lighthouse there are something else on a clear day. You can often see seals.

If you like gardens, Logan Botanic Garden is about half an hour away and it's fantastic. Castle Kennedy is a bit further. The Galloway Forest Park, which is a Dark Sky Park, is maybe 40 minutes by car if you want to do some stargazing.

For walks, you've got the Southern Upland Way nearby, and plenty of coastal paths.

Facilities: it's got a washing machine, a cot, a highchair, and all bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance and everything's on the ground floor.
