This is Pine Cottage, out in Stoneykirk in Dumfriesshire. It's a three-bedroom place that sleeps six, and it's adapted for wheelchairs. There's a wet room on the ground floor and everything is on one level inside. You can bring up to two dogs.
The beach at Sandhead is about a twenty-minute walk away. It's a long, sandy beach, good for a proper walk. The village has a shop, a pub that does food, and a restaurant.
If you want to get out, Portpatrick is nice for a look around. For a long walk, you can pick up the Southern Upland Way there. The Mull of Galloway is worth the drive. It's the most southerly point in Scotland and the views on a clear day are something else. You might see seals. For gardens, try Castle Kennedy or Logan Botanic Garden.
Stranraer is the nearest bigger town if you need anything. You can get the ferry to Belfast from there if you fancied a day trip to Ireland. The Galloway Forest Park is about a half-hour drive. It's a Dark Sky Park, so if it's a clear night, the stars are incredible.
The place has got two bathrooms, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. There's a patio area with a barbecue and parking right outside. It's a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
