The Stable is on our small holding just outside Stranraer. It's a converted farm building, so it's one solid stone box. You get the patio and garden area to yourselves. It looks out over fields.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and has what you need, but it's not posh. The stairs are the main thing to know about. They're in the middle of the living space, they're a spiral, and they're fairly steep and narrow. We've put a stairgate at the bottom.
You're on the edge of the Southern Upland Way here, so it's good for walking or if you've brought bikes. The coast isn't far, maybe a ten minute drive. Stranraer has the shops and things. You can get the ferry to Ireland from there if you fancied a day trip.
The village of Portpatrick is about six miles away. It's a nice little harbour. For gardens, Logan Botanical and Castle Kennedy are the big ones around here. They're worth a visit.
What's here: There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. We provide the bedding and towels. You can bring one dog. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them.
