The Stable is about five miles outside Stranraer. It's on a small farm, so it's proper countryside. The house itself is an old stable that's been done up.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxury. Everything you need is there. The layout is open plan downstairs.
You've got a garden with a patio. Parking is right outside. We allow one well-behaved dog. There's a stairgate and a cot if you need them.
The location is the main thing. You're right near the start of the Southern Upland Way, so it's perfect if you're here to walk or cycle. The coast isn't far either. Stranraer has shops and a leisure centre with a pool. There are a few golf courses around. You can get a ferry to Ireland from the port if you fancied a day trip.
Portpatrick village is a ten minute drive. It's a nice spot for a walk and a pint.
If you like gardens, the climate here is mild so there are some good ones. Logan Botanical Garden is worth a visit, as are the Castle Kennedy gardens.
For facilities, you've got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. All bedding and towels are included.
