The Bullpen is on our farm, about a mile outside Stranraer. It's a converted barn, so it's one big open room with a high ceiling. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything is in good order and it's comfortable.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see cows and sheep. There's a bit of farm noise sometimes, but it's generally quiet. The stairs to the sleeping area are a proper farm ladder, so they're steep and not great for anyone unsteady on their feet. Everything you need is on the ground floor though.
There's a shop about half a mile away. A pub and a restaurant are a mile down the road in the town. Stranraer has the usual shops and a few places to eat. The coast is about a mile and a half. You can drive to Portpatrick or Sandhead for a proper walk along the cliffs. The RSPB Mull of Galloway is about a 25 minute drive if you like seabirds.
If you want a day trip, the ferry to Northern Ireland goes from Cairnryan, which is ten minutes up the road. For gardens, the Logan Botanic Garden is worth the drive, about 40 minutes. Golf is nearby at the Stranraer course.
Facilities-wise: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside. No pets, sorry. There's storage for bikes if you bring them.
