Loch View is on Wig Bay Holiday Park, near Kirkcolm in Dumfriesshire. It's a detached bungalow, so all on one level. You sleep five there, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable.
The main thing is the view. It looks out over Loch Ryan from the living room and the decking. The decking gets the sun in the morning. It's a good spot.
Inside, it's open plan. Kitchen, dining area, and living space all together. It's got everything you need: proper oven, hob, microwave, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside and an electric vehicle charger.
The park is family-run. It has an indoor pool and a soft play area for kids. There's a bar and restaurant on site if you don't want to cook. A local pub is within walking distance too.
You're right on the water. Cross the road and you're at the shore of Loch Ryan. You can walk along Wig Bay and out to The Scar, which is a sandbank with lots of terns. You might see seals. There's evidence of old wartime flying boat bases along there.
Stranraer is about ten minutes' drive. It has shops, supermarkets, and a leisure centre. Agnew Park there is good for children. For a bigger day out, you can drive into the Galloway Forest Park for walking, or up to Ayrshire. It's about 45 minutes to the ferry terminal at Cairnryan for trips to Belfast.
We allow one well-behaved dog. There's a cot available if you need it.
