Stronvaar is in Stranraer. It's a detached bungalow, modernised a few years ago. There's a garden out the back with patio doors from the kitchen.
It sleeps six across three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable, and feels quite spacious. Everything is on the ground floor.
You can walk into the town centre in a few minutes. There's a seafront promenade and Agnew Park, which has a boating lake and a play area.
The local scenery is the main thing here. It's on the Rhinns of Galloway, so you've got rugged coastline and some good sandy beaches nearby, like at Sandhead. Portpatrick is a nice little harbour village. It's worth driving out to the Mull of Galloway, the southernmost point. The RSPB reserve there is good for birds. Logan Botanic Garden is famous and not far.
If you walk, the Southern Upland Way passes close by. There are forest trails at the 7stanes centres within a half hour drive. There's a golf course locally, and fishing if that's your thing.
The ferries to Ireland go from Cairnryan, which is about ten minutes up the road. It's doable for a day trip if you're organised.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
