Stronvaar

Stronvaar is a detached bungalow in Stranraer. It’s been modernised. You’ve got the place to yourselves, with a garden and a summer house out the back.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating. Everything is on one level, so no stairs to worry about.

The town centre is a short walk away. You can walk along the front or go to Agnew Park. There’s a boating lake and a putting green there. Stranraer has shops, pubs, and places to eat.

The area is good for coast walks. The Southern Upland Way passes nearby. There are sandy beaches, though the water can be cold. Portpatrick is a nice little harbour village, about fifteen minutes by car.

Logan Botanic Garden is worth a visit if you like gardens. It’s about twenty minutes drive. The Mull of Galloway is the southernmost point, good for seeing seabirds. It’s run by RSPB Scotland.

Cairnryan is close by, where the ferry to Northern Ireland goes from. You could do a day trip if you wanted.

Facilities: there’s parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets sorry.
