Rowan Cottage is in Stoneykirk, Dumfriesshire. It's a detached house, so you'll have your own space. Sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. There's a wet room on the ground floor and the place is set up for wheelchair access if you need it. The doors are wide, there are grab rails, and the worktops are low. We've also got an electric bed available.
The beach at Sandhead is about a mile's walk. It's a long, sandy beach, good for a proper walk. The village has a shop, a pub, and a restaurant, all about the same distance.
If you're after a drive, the Mull of Galloway is worth it. It's Scotland's most southerly point. The views are huge, you can see across to Ireland and the Isle of Man on a clear day. Portpatrick is nice for a wander and is the start of the Southern Upland Way.
Stranraer's not far if you need bigger shops. Castle Kennedy Gardens are nearby if you like formal gardens. The Galloway Forest Park is about a 30 minute drive inland. It's a Dark Sky Park, so if you're into stargazing, it's very good.
