Ardwell Park is a semi-detached cottage in Ardwell, which is a quiet village on this bit of the coast. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and there's one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's not a palace but it's comfortable and you can see the sea from the front.
The garden is enclosed and faces fields. You get it to yourself. Inside, the main room has a bay window. The stairs are standard for a cottage.
Ardwell is on the Southwest Coastal 300 route, if you're driving. The coast is just down the road. The nearest beach is about 200 yards away.
Five minutes down the road is Drummore, which is Scotland's most southerly village. From there, you can get to the Mull of Galloway. That's the actual most southerly point. There's an RSPB centre there and a good walk around the cliffs.
Logan Botanic Garden is about a 15-minute drive. It's famous for its subtropical plants. Worth a visit if you like that sort of thing.
Further afield, within about half an hour, you've got Portpatrick, Stranraer, and the start of the Galloway Forest Park. The area is good for walking and cycling on quiet roads.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, a TV, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. No pets, sorry.
