Ardwell Park
Ardwell Park is in the village of Ardwell, on the south west coast. It’s a semi-detached cottage. The garden is enclosed and looks out over farmland.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one shower room. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and clean. The shower is good.
The living room has a bay window with a view of the sea. You can see it from the dining table.
The beach is about 200 yards away. It’s a shingle beach. For a sandy beach, you can drive to Port Logan. It’s not far.
The area is quiet. Good for walking. The Mull of Galloway is about fifteen minutes by car. There’s an RSPB centre there. You can see seabirds. Sometimes you see seals or dolphins from the cliffs.
Logan Botanic Garden is worth a visit. It’s about twenty minutes away. It’s full of plants from warmer countries. The walled garden is colourful.
Drummore is the next village along. It’s Scotland’s most southerly village. There’s a small harbour.
For facilities, there’s a washing machine, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets.
If you’re planning to explore, the National Trust for Scotland has several properties in the region, like Castle Kennedy Gardens. The Galloway Forest Park is about a thirty minute drive for bigger walks.
