Mullhill is on our working farm above Port Logan. It's detached, so no neighbours on either side. The views from up here are good. You can see right out to the Irish Sea and down to the village.
It sleeps four. Two big bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well finished and comfortable. The garden is fully enclosed, which is handy.
You can walk down to Port Logan on the road. It's quiet. The beach is sandy and the harbour's nice. The Logan Fishpond is a curious spot, a big rock pool with fish in it. The Logan Botanic Garden is about ten minutes away by car. It's famous for its plants. Worth a visit.
The nearest shop and a pub are in Sandhead, about a ten minute drive. For a proper meal, you might want to drive a bit further.
If you drive south, you get to the Mull of Galloway. It's Scotland's most southerly point. The lighthouse is there, and the RSPB has a centre. You can often see seals from the cliffs. The RSPB site has details on what birds are about.
It's good for walking. The roads are quiet for cycling too. The 7Stanes mountain bike trails are within half an hour if that's your thing.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
