Mullhill Port Logan

Mullhill is a farmhouse on our working farm just outside Port Logan. It's detached, so you're on your own up here. The position is high, so the views over the Irish Sea are good. You can see right down to the village.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's been done up to a good standard. The rooms are big. The stairs are normal. There's a sunroom off the kitchen which is a nice spot to sit.

The garden is fully enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing a dog. We allow one well-behaved pet.

Port Logan village is about a mile's walk down the road. It's a quiet walk. The bay is sheltered and has a sandy beach. There's a harbour and the Logan Fishpond, which is a natural rock pool with fish in it.

You should visit Logan Botanic Garden while you're here. It's famous for exotic plants and the walled garden is colourful. They have a bistro on site. More information on their site: Logan Botanic Garden.

The nearest shop and a pub are in Sandhead, about a ten minute drive. For a proper day out, head to the Mull of Galloway. It's the southernmost point in Scotland. There's a lighthouse you can go up and an RSPB centre. You might see seals or dolphins. Information on the area is here: Mull of Galloway.

The whole area is good for walking or cycling on quiet lanes. The 7Stanes mountain biking trails are within about a half hour drive if that's your thing.

Facilities are what you'd expect: TV, WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
