Mill Street is a terraced cottage in Drummore. It's right down at the very south of Scotland, in the Rhins of Galloway. The village is small and quiet.
The cottage itself sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place. That means it's comfortable and clean, but it's not a show home. It's an old fisherman's cottage, so the rooms are cosy. The shower is electric.
You're about three minutes walk from the beach here. It's a mix of sand and stones, and you look straight out over Luce Bay. You'll see a lot of sea birds. The RSPB reserve at the Mull of Galloway is a short drive away. You can see seabirds nesting on the cliffs in season, and sometimes dolphins or seals from the point.
There's a pub and a shop about 150 yards up the road. The pub does food. For more shops or a supermarket, you'd drive to Stranraer, which is about nine miles.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing dogs. You can have up to two. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a wood burner in the front room for cooler evenings.
For a day out, Logan Botanic Garden is special, especially if you like exotic plants. It's about ten minutes by car. If you want to walk, the coastal paths are right here. You can often have a beach to yourself, even in summer. The 7stanes mountain bike trails at Kirroughtree are within half an hour if that's your thing.
