This is Jura, in Drummore. It's a row of cottages right on the shore. The road's in front, but you just cross it and you're on the beach. It's shingle and sand. The view from the front is straight out over Luce Bay.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet downstairs. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable but not luxury. The windows are single-glazed because it's an old building, so it can get a bit drafty when the wind's up. That's when you light the woodburner.
You're at the very bottom of Scotland here. It feels a bit like the edge of the world. The local shop is about a five minute walk, and there are three pubs and a cafe that does seafood. They're all within 500 yards.
If you like birds, the RSPB reserve at the Mull of Galloway is about ten minutes' drive. The cliffs are packed with seabirds in spring. You often see seals in the bay, and sometimes porpoises. The Logan Botanic Garden is incredible, especially if you like subtropical plants. It's about fifteen minutes away.
Stranraer is the nearest proper town, maybe a twenty minute drive. The ferries to Ireland go from Cairnryan, which is a bit further on. You can drive to Portpatrick in about half an hour, which is a nice little harbour.
Inside, it's got what you need: a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and Wi-Fi. The bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is a shared lawn area at the back.
