Gigha

Gigha is one of four cottages we have right at the end of the road in Drummore. It's on the shore of Luce Bay. You look straight out at the water.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Basic things like bedding and towels are included.

The living area is open plan. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, a TV, and WiFi. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing dogs. You can have up to two pets. Parking is right there.

Drummore is quiet. The beach is basically across the road. It's sand and shingle, good for a walk. There's a shop, a café that does seafood, and a couple of pubs all within a few minutes' walk.

If you're into gardens, Logan Botanical Garden is about a ten-minute drive away. It's good in spring and summer. The RSPB reserve at the Mull of Galloway is maybe twenty minutes by car. You can see a lot of seabirds there. You might spot seals or porpoises from the coast too.

Stranraer is the main town for bigger shops. It's about a twenty-five minute drive. The ferries to Ireland go from Cairnryan, which is a bit north of Stranraer.
