Bayshiel is in Sandhead, right on the coast in southwest Scotland. It's semi-detached. The house sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 star rating.
It's been completely done up inside. There's solid wood flooring in the lounge. The kitchen has everything you need and an extending table for meals. The two bathrooms are good.
The best thing is the location. You're about a minute's walk from the beach. At low tide it's a huge stretch of sand, about three miles long. You can launch small boats from there or from Sandhead Bay when the tide's right. Local fishing is an option.
The village has a shop and a pub that does food about a hundred yards away. It's very quiet.
For days out, the Logan Botanical Gardens are famous and worth a visit. The RSPB reserve at the Mull of Galloway is about a 20 minute drive. Thousands of seabirds nest on the cliffs in spring and summer.
There are other little seaside villages and ports nearby to explore. The whole coast here is rugged with quiet beaches. It's warmer than you might think because of the Gulf Stream.
Facilities at the house: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and a patio garden. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry. There's a golf course locally.
