Home Farm - The Dairy is near Dunragit, on a working dairy farm. It’s a one-bedroom place for two people.
The conversion is done to a high standard, it’s a 5 Star property. It feels spacious for two, and you get two bathrooms which is handy. The main bedroom has a superking bed.
The main talking point is the window that looks into the cow shed. You can sit there with a cup of tea and watch the milking. It’s unusual. Some people love it.
It has a wood burner and a hot tub outside. There’s a patio garden with the hot tub, and parking right by the door.
The farm is about six miles from Stranraer for supermarkets. There’s a golf course two miles away. You’re well placed for the coast. Portpatrick and Sandhead are pretty little harbour villages, about a 15-20 minute drive. The RSPB reserve at the Mull of Galloway is about 40 minutes, but it’s spectacular for seabirds if that’s your thing.
For gardens, Glenwhan is very close and Logan Botanical Gardens is about half an hour’s drive. If you want to walk, the Southern Upland Way passes nearby. The 7Stanes mountain biking trails are within easy reach by car.
You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a washing machine and dishwasher, and WiFi is provided.
