Thistle Cottage

Thistle Cottage is in Portpatrick. It's an end-of-terrace cottage.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is clean and works well. The stairs inside are typical cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep.

You're a five minute walk from the harbour. There's a small beach there. A few pubs and restaurants look out over the water. You can get boat trips from the harbour if you want.

For walking, the cliff paths start right in the village. You can walk south past Dunskey Castle, or north towards the lighthouse. The Southern Upland Way starts here. The South West Coastal 300 driving route goes through the area if you want to explore by car.

Within about half an hour's drive you can get to the Mull of Galloway. It's the southernmost point in Scotland. There's an RSPB reserve there and the views are very good. Logan Botanic Garden is also in that direction.

The cottage has a small patio garden. There's parking right outside. WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
