Military Drive 8

This is Military Drive 8 in Portpatrick. It's a detached house on the hill above the harbour. The view from up here is the main thing. You look right over the town, the harbour, and the sea.

It sleeps twelve people. There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms, so it's good for a big group or a few families. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-fitted, not just basic.

The living room is upstairs to make the most of the view. It has French doors out to a balcony. There's a pool table and a small bar area in there too. Outside, there's a patio with a hot tub.

You're a short walk downhill to the harbour. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about 200 yards away. The beach is about the same distance.

If you're here to walk, the Southern Upland Way passes close by. The cliff paths are good. For a different day out, Wigtown is about twenty minutes away. It's Scotland's book town with a few cafes. The Bladnoch Distillery is near there if you like whisky.

There are three golf courses within a twenty minute drive, including one in Portpatrick itself. Stranraer is about six miles away, where you can get the ferry to Ireland for a day trip.

The house has most things you'd need: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.

We have two other houses next door, numbers 4 and 7. They're similar, with hot tubs. You can book them together if you need space for more people.
