Saffron is our house in Portpatrick. It's detached, up on the hill overlooking the village and the sea. You get a really clear view of the water from the front. The garden is all yours, it's a good size and enclosed.
It sleeps eight people. There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms, which is handy with a group. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, we've tried to think of what you'd need. Everything is included, bedding, towels, that sort of thing.
The house is right next to Dunskey Golf Club. You can see it from the garden. There's an 18-hole and a 9-hole course. The village centre and the little harbour are a short walk downhill. There's a small sandy beach, some shops, a post office, and a few pubs and restaurants. One of the restaurants is about 150 yards away.
Portpatrick is the start of the Southern Upland Way. You can just head out the door for a walk. The coastline around here is very good for it. The RSPB has a visitor centre at the Mull of Galloway if you're interested in seabirds. It's about a 30-minute drive. You can find details on the RSPB website.
In terms of what's here, we've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for a couple of cars on the drive. There's a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
