Saffron
This is Saffron. It's in Portpatrick, right at the top of the village overlooking the harbour. It's a detached house, so you've got your own space.
It sleeps eight. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. The gardens are private and fully enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or dogs. We allow up to two pets.
The house is up on the hill, so you get a clear view out to sea. It's about a five minute walk down to the seafront. There's a small sandy beach there, an old lighthouse, a few shops, a post office, and some places to eat. You can hear the golf club next door during the day. They've got two courses.
For walking, the Southern Upland Way starts in the village. The coastline around here is good, a mix of sandy beaches and cliffs. You might see red squirrels or deer. The RSPB has a centre at the Mull of Galloway if you're interested in birds.
Portpatrick itself has a putting green, tennis courts, and a children's play area. For fishing, you can go sea fishing from the harbour, or there's trout and salmon fishing not far away.
Inside, it's got the usual things: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Parking is on site.
