The Greenkeeper is an apartment in Portpatrick. It's on the first floor of a building up the hill from the harbour, so you get a good view.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well looked after. The main bedroom and one other have doors out to small balconies. You can sit out there with a drink.
From the back, you look straight over the golf course. From the front, you look down over the roofs to the little harbour and the sea. On a clear day you can see Ireland.
It's a five minute walk down the hill to the harbour. There's a good cliff path for walks from there. The beach is about the same distance, but in the other direction.
There's a pub and restaurant half a mile away. You'll probably want a car. Stranraer is about ten miles for bigger shops. The whole Machars coast is good for driving around if you like scenery.
For facilities, it's got the standard stuff: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
If you're looking for walks or history, this site covers the area: National Trust for Scotland.
