Military Drive 4
Military Drive 4 is one of three houses on the same road in Portpatrick. It's a big detached place, which is handy because you're right on the edge of the town. You have a private, walled garden at the back.
It sleeps thirteen people in five bedrooms with four bathrooms. It's a 4 Star property, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The views from the house are very good, looking out over the harbour and the sea. You can see the same from the hot tub on the patio.
You're about a five minute walk downhill to the harbour, the shops, and a couple of pubs. The closest bit of coastline for a walk or a paddle is about 200 yards away. For a proper beach day, you'd want to drive to one of the bigger sands nearby.
The house is on the Southern Upland Way, so you can start a walk right from the door. The Galloway Hills are about half an hour's drive for more serious walking. For a day out, you can get the ferry to Ireland from Stranraer, which is about fifteen minutes by car. There are several golf courses very close by, including one in Portpatrick itself.
In terms of what's here: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for several cars. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
