This is number 4 Military Drive, in Portpatrick. It's a detached house. There are a couple of others next door if you have a bigger group, but this one is yours on its own. The main thing is the view. You look right over the rooftops to the harbour and the sea. You can see it from most of the windows.
It sleeps ten people. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. There's a hot tub on the patio downstairs.
You're on the hill above the village centre. It's about a three minute walk down to the harbour. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about 200 yards away. The beach is about the same distance.
For walking, the Southern Upland Way passes close by. There are plenty of cliff and coastal paths right from the door. If you want to drive, the Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour away. The area is good for wildlife; you might see red squirrels or deer.
Golfers are well looked after. There's Portpatrick Golf Club right here, and others like Stranraer nearby. Turnberry is about 45 minutes' drive if you want a big day out.
There's sea fishing from the harbour. For sailing or other water sports, the Galloway Sailing Centre is a short drive away. If you fancied a trip to Ireland, the ferry goes from Stranraer, which is about six miles away.
In the house you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive. You can bring up to two dogs.
