Wild Geese Lodge
Wild Geese Lodge is a cottage in Portpatrick, Dumfriesshire. You'll have the Dunskey Estate to yourself, which includes woodland and access to the coast.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has an induction hob. Bedding and towels are included, and there's a washing machine and dishwasher. There's parking on site. We can provide a cot. No pets, sorry.
The place is rated 5 Star. It's quite a specific style inside, with a lot of decorative furniture and artwork. It's not a minimal place. The cottage stairs are a normal cottage steepness.
You're about 800 yards from a pub and restaurant in Portpatrick. The main shop is about eight miles away in Stranraer, so it's worth coming prepared. The estate has its own beaches, about a mile's walk, and coastal paths. You can walk to Portpatrick harbour along the cliffs.
Stranraer is the nearest town for supermarkets. For a day out, you can drive to the Glenlivet Estate or the Culzean Castle and Country Park. Both are roughly within a 30 minute drive. There's local fishing and horse riding available.
