South Haven is in Portpatrick. It's a cottage right on the seafront, about a minute's walk from the harbour. You look out over the beach and the lighthouse.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One is a shower room downstairs. The stairs are fine, normal for a house this age. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.
The main room is open plan at the front, with a big bay window. You get the view from there and the kitchen table. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.
Outside, there's a front terrace and a walled back courtyard with seating. You can store bikes there. There's parking on site for one car.
One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The village has a small sandy beach, a few pubs that do food, and a shop. The Portpatrick Dunskey Golf Club is right there on the cliffs. You can get boat trips from the harbour.
For walking, you're on the Southern Upland Way. The coast path goes north towards the cliffs and south towards Sandhead. If you drive, Logan Botanic Garden is about half an hour. Galloway Forest Park is also within half an hour for bigger walks and dark skies. Stranraer is nine miles away for bigger shops.
