Skiber An Hyli

This is Skiber An Hyli. It's the old barn here on our place in Porthcothan, between Padstow and Newquay. About ten minutes to either. It's old, three hundred years or so, converted now. Sleeps four in two bedrooms upstairs. One double, one twin.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are wooden and a bit steep, like you'd expect.

Downstairs is one open room, kitchen at one end and living space at the other. It's bright. There's a proper sofa and a table for eating. The kitchen has a dishwasher. Outside the back there's a garden with a patio and a glass covered bit. Good for sitting out even if the weather turns. You can see the fields from there.

Porthcothan beach is a five or ten minute walk down the lane. It's a nice sandy beach, good for swimming and surfing. If you walk the other way, up onto the coast path, you're at Park Head in a few minutes. That's where you get the big view of the Bedruthan Steps.

Padstow is about ten minutes' drive. You've got the harbour, shops, Rick Stein's places if that's your thing, and plenty of other good spots to eat. Newquay is the other way, also about ten minutes. That's where Fistral Beach is for surfing. There's a zoo and the sea life centre there too.

The facilities are all listed, but the main things are parking right here, WiFi, TV, and the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
