Brockalee Farm Retreat

Brockalee Farm Retreat is a shepherd's hut on our farm. It's new for 2024. It's detached, up at the edge of a static caravan park. You get your own fenced garden bit with a table.

It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. The whole thing is open plan, so the bed is in the main living space. There's a proper shower and toilet.

The hut runs on solar power. It's off-grid but has electric heating if you need it. There's WiFi. TV, bed linen and towels are included.

We have alpacas, donkeys, and goats in the fields here. They're friendly and will probably come over to say hello. One dog is welcome.

You're right in the countryside. The nearest pub is about a mile away in Haydon Bridge. There's a golf club nearby too.

For history, you're very close to Hadrian's Wall. Housesteads Roman Fort is about a 15 minute drive. The Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre is nearby and is a good starting point. Vindolanda is also within half an hour.

Hexham is about ten minutes by car. It has an abbey, shops, and places to eat. Corbridge is about the same distance, a nice little town with Roman bits.

For walking, you can pick up the Hadrian's Wall Path easily. There's also good cycling on Route 72 of the National Cycle Network. If you like fishing, Langley Dam is a 15 minute drive.

You're near the A69, so Newcastle and Carlisle are both about a 45 minute drive if you need a city.
