Felbridge Cottage is on our farm just outside Henshaw. It's detached, so you're on your own. You're right by the farmyard, so you'll see sheep and cattle. There's a lot of land around it, woods and fields. It's quiet.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's open plan downstairs. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. There's a wood burning stove, which is nice in the evening. Parking is right outside.
You're about a mile from Hadrian's Wall. Housesteads Fort is a few miles down the road. Vindolanda is close too, if you're interested in the Roman stuff. Both are worth a visit.
The nearest pub that does food is about two miles away. The shop is five miles, so you'll want to bring things with you. Hexham is about a 20 minute drive for bigger supermarkets and more places to eat.
You're on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. It's good walking country. Kielder Water is about half an hour away by car. If you want to go to the coast, it's about an hour to places like Bamburgh.
Practical stuff: Bedding and towels are included. WiFi is here but it's a farm, so it's okay but not super fast. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a highchair and a stairgate if you need them.
