Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is in Redburn, near Bardon Mill in Northumberland. It's a single-storey bungalow, so you don't have any stairs to worry about. It's got two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. Everything was redone a couple of years ago, so it's clean and modern.

The main thing is the kitchen and dining area. It has big glass doors that open right out onto the patio and garden. It's a bright space. There's a wood burner in the living room too, for the colder evenings.

The garden is terraced. There's a patio area right outside the doors, then a lawn, and a small raised bit up some steps with another seating spot.

You're well placed here for exploring. Bardon Mill village is close. It's got a shop that does coffee, a pub restaurant, and a picnic spot by the river. You can get the train from there into Newcastle or Carlisle if you fancy a city day.

Hadrian's Wall is right on your doorstep. You're minutes from Vindolanda Roman Fort. A bit further along is The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and Sycamore Gap. Northumberland National Park is all around you.

Hexham is a short drive. It's a proper market town with an abbey, shops, and places to eat. Corbridge is similar, with nice little shops and a river walk.

If you want to head to the coast, it takes about an hour to get to places like Tynemouth, Amble, or Bamburgh.

Facilities: It's all there. Wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, enclosed garden. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking.
