Rose Cottage is in Redburn, Northumberland. It's a bungalow, so all on one level. That's handy if stairs are a problem. It's been done up recently, so everything's new and works properly.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom. That's useful if you're two couples. The living room has a wood burner in a big fireplace. It gets a good heat.
The kitchen diner is light, with doors that open up onto the patio. There's an enclosed garden with a bit of lawn and a raised terrace with furniture.
You're a few minutes from Bardon Mill village. There's a shop there and a restaurant that does Thai food. The train station is there too. You can get to Newcastle or Carlisle in under an hour.
You're right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. Hadrian's Wall is close. Vindolanda Roman Fort is a must-see. The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre is up the road too. For the coast, places like Bamburgh are about an hour's drive.
Hexham's a 20 minute drive. It's got an abbey, shops, and a racecourse. Corbridge is a bit closer, nice for a walk by the river.
It's got a dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. There's parking.
