The Horseshoe
The Horseshoe is in Melkridge, Northumberland. It's part of a small group of four holiday cottages, all converted from old farm buildings. You're right by Hadrian's Wall, about a mile away.
It's a ground-floor cottage, so everything's on one level. It sleeps two people, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and functional.
The main thing is the view. The living room has big glass doors that look straight out over open countryside. There's a private patio out there. It's quiet. You'll hear birds, not traffic.
It's very dog-friendly. You can bring two dogs. There's a wild grass meadow nearby that's just for dogs to run in, and a field opposite for walks.
For facilities, you've got a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding is included. The heating and electricity are all included in the price.
Location-wise, you're in the middle of Hadrian's Wall country. You can walk to bits of it. Hexham's about a 20-minute drive for shops. The Northumberland National Park is right there. Kielder Water and Forest is about half an hour's drive north if you want to go that way.
