Burn Lodge

This is Burn Lodge. It's a wooden lodge near Haltwhistle in Northumberland. It's detached, but we live next door. We're on the edge of town, so it's quiet, with fields at the back.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's all on one floor, which is handy. The main room is open plan with the kitchen. There's a woodburning stove. Outside there's a veranda with seating.

Haltwhistle town centre is about a fifteen minute walk. There's a Co-op, a few pubs that do food, and a leisure centre with an outdoor pool. The train station is there too, so you can get to Newcastle or Carlisle without the car.

You're really here for the history and the walks. Hadrian's Wall is right on the doorstep. You can walk to some of it from here. The main sites like Housesteads Fort and Vindolanda are a short drive away.

The Northumberland National Park starts not far from here. It's good for walking and cycling. Kielder Water is about half an hour's drive if you want to go that way.

Facilities: there's a TV, washing machine, dishwasher, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. No pets. If you need space for more people, we have another property you can book with this one.
