Glendale Cottage
Glendale Cottage is in Haltwhistle. It's a detached cottage with its own garden. It's on a quiet bit of the B6318 road.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The owners live on site in the main farmhouse.
You get to use the indoor heated swimming pool, but you have to book it for private sessions. There's over eleven acres of woodland and grounds to walk around. There's hens and a pond. The stairs are normal.
It's right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. You can walk to Hadrian's Wall from here. Walltown Crags and Cawfields are very close for good views. The Roman sites at Vindolanda and Housesteads are a short drive away. Sycamore Gap is nearby too.
Because it's in the International Dark Sky Park, the stars at night are very clear if it's not cloudy.
Kielder Water and Forest is about a forty minute drive. Carlisle, Hexham and Newcastle are all within an hour if you need a city.
Facilities wise: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi and parking. There's a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is allowed. The local shop and pub is about a mile and a half away.
