Lambley Farm-The Coach House
Lambley Farm is just south of Haltwhistle, up a track off the military road. The Coach House is one of a few cottages here, so it's quiet. You're on a working sheep farm with 90 acres. The river is about a fifty yard walk from the door.
It sleeps twelve, in six bedrooms. They're all ensuite, which is useful with a big group. It's got a 4 Star rating. The conversion is fairly new, so everything's clean and works.
You've got a patio with a barbecue and a view over the fields. There's parking right outside. WiFi works, there's a washing machine, and we can provide a cot and highchair.
You can bring up to two dogs. They need to be kept on a lead outside because of the livestock.
The South Tyne river is right there if you want to fish. You need to book that in advance and there's a fee.
For things to do, you're in walking country. Hadrian's Wall is very close. The National Trust sites along it are good for a day out. Haltwhistle has shops and a couple of pubs. It's about a ten minute drive.
Further afield, Kielder Water is within half an hour for the forest and the observatory. Hexham is about twenty five minutes away. If you want the coast, it's a bit further, maybe fifty minutes to an hour to get to somewhere like Seahouses.
