Lambley Farm-The Coach House

Lambley Farm Coach House is one of a group of barns here. It's on a farm, so you're in the middle of about 90 acres. The river South Tyne is about 50 yards from the back door. You can fish in it if you arrange it with us first, there's a charge depending on the salmon season.

It sleeps twelve. Six bedrooms, each one has its own bathroom. That's the main thing about it. Good if you've got a few couples or families who don't want to share.

The barns have been done up recently. Oak floors, decent wifi, that sort of thing. It's got a 4 Star rating. They're clean and solid, not overly fancy.

You get your own patio with a BBQ. The view is over the fields and you can see the river. It's very quiet. Other than the other barns, which can be rented separately or together for bigger groups, there's nothing else right here.

You're about a 20 minute drive from Haltwhistle. Hexham is maybe 30 minutes. The main reason people come is for the walking and the history. You're right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. Hadrian's Wall is very close. You can be at Steel Rigg or Housesteads Roman Fort in well under half an hour.

The facilities are what you'd expect: parking, washing machine, cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring two dogs.

For planning days out, these sites are useful: Northumberland National Park and English Heritage for Hadrian's Wall.
