Kingfisher Cottage is up in Lambley, Northumberland. It's a barn conversion, one of a few that were done up together. It's on a big private estate, about 90 acres.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's been recently refurbished, so it's in good order. There's oak flooring and things like that.
One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor. It's a twin room with its own wet room, so it's wheelchair friendly.
The river, the South Tyne, is right there. About 50 yards away. You can fish for trout and salmon, but you have to book and pay for that separately.
Inside, it's got what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. There's a patio and garden area with a BBQ. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There's parking.
You can book it with another cottage nearby, Orchard House, if you've got a bigger group.
For things to do, you're right in the North Pennines. It's good walking country. Hadrian's Wall is about a 30 minute drive away. The sights at Housesteads or Vindolanda are worth seeing if you're into history. North Pennines AONB and English Heritage Hadrian's Wall are good places to look.
