The Old Farmhouse Hexham

The Old Farmhouse is in Settlingstones, near Hexham. It’s on a working farm with a lot of land around it, so the views are just fields and sky. It’s very quiet.

It sleeps five in two bedrooms. Everything is on one level, no stairs. There are two wet rooms, which is handy. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and well looked after, not old-fashioned.

The main room has big windows that look straight out over the fields. There’s a deck outside those doors. You can sit out there. It’s enclosed, so a dog or children can’t wander off.

You can bring up to two dogs. There’s parking right by the house.

It has the usual things: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. The heating and electricity are included. There’s a wood burning stove and a barbecue.

For getting out, you’re not far from Hadrian’s Wall. Hexham is a short drive for shops and cafes. Kielder Water is about half an hour away if you want to go walking or cycling. The Northumberland National Park is on your doorstep. The coast, like Alnmouth or Bamburgh, is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic.
