South View is in Brokenheugh, near Haydon Bridge. It's a detached cottage up on the side of the valley. The front looks out onto the road, but the side garden is enclosed and looks over fields. It's peaceful.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom upstairs with a good walk-in shower, and a separate toilet downstairs. It was all refurbished a couple of years ago, so everything is clean and works as it should. It has a 4 Star rating.
You park right next to it. There's an electric vehicle charger if you need one.
The living room has a wood burner for colder nights. There's a smart TV and fibre broadband. The kitchen is new and has a dishwasher and washing machine.
Haydon Bridge village is just over a mile away. It has a small supermarket, a butchers, and a few pubs. Hexham is about seven miles. It's a nice market town with an abbey, shops, and places to eat.
You're well placed here for getting out. You can walk or cycle from the door. Hadrian's Wall and all the sites are about six miles away. Northumberland National Park is right there. The Sill discovery centre is close by. Vindolanda Roman fort is worth a visit.
The Northumberland coast, like Craster or Bamburgh, is about an hour's drive. Newcastle is under an hour if you want a city day. The Lake District is also about an hour away.
Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. No pets, sorry.
