South View

South View is in Brokenheugh, which is a hamlet near Haydon Bridge. It sits up on a bank, so you get a good view over the fields. It was all done up a couple of years ago.

The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom upstairs with a walk-in shower. There's also a toilet downstairs. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and that view. The second has twin beds, which are proper full-size singles.

The living room has a wood burner for cooler evenings. There's a smart TV and the internet is decent. The kitchen is new and has a dishwasher. The garden is enclosed, with a table and chairs. It's by the road, so you'd keep an eye on kids out there.

Haydon Bridge village is about a mile away. It has a small supermarket, a butcher, and a few shops. There are three pubs there.

You can walk or cycle from the door. Hadrian's Wall, the Roman fort at Vindolanda, and Sycamore Gap are about six miles away. The Northumberland National Park is right there. Hexham is a nice market town with an abbey, about a 15-minute drive. Corbridge is a bit further, good for a wander and a coffee.

For a day out, the Northumberland coast is within an hour. Newcastle is under an hour's drive if you want a city trip.

Facilities: parking right there, with an electric car charger if you need it. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and a cot and highchair are available. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
