Stublick View
Stublick View is in Langley, on the edge of Hexham. It's a semi-detached cottage, attached to our house on the side. We have a couple of horses here.
It sleeps three people. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean but not high-spec. The stairs are open-tread and quite steep. Just so you know.
Downstairs is all one room: kitchen, dining area, and sitting room with a wood burner. We leave logs for you. The view from the front is over our field and the valley. It's very quiet.
There's a pub that does food about a mile away in the village. The nearest shop is in Haydon Bridge, about four miles. For a bigger shop, Hexham is ten minutes by car.
You're right on the edge of Hadrian's Wall country here. The National Trust for Hadrian's Wall has good walking maps. Housesteads Roman Fort is about 15 minutes' drive. Vindolanda is similar. The Sill, which is the landscape discovery centre, is also close and useful for weatherproof days.
Langley Castle is just down the road for a look or a meal. If you fish, there's a lake a few minutes' walk away.
In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, parking right outside, and all bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid, because of the horses.
