The Racecourse Lodge
The Racecourse Lodge is in Hexham, Northumberland. It's a lodge, built in 2012, on one level. It's right next to the track at Hexham Racecourse, so you get a view of the stands and the fields. If there's a race meeting on, you'll know about it. If there isn't, it's very quiet.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, all with twin beds. Two separate shower rooms. The living area is compact. There's a sofa and an extendable table. The kitchen has what you need: fridge, electric oven, microwave. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and functional.
You're about two miles from Hexham town centre. There's a shop, pubs, and restaurants there. The Abbey is worth a look. The racecourse itself has paths for walking and cycling straight from the door.
Hadrian's Wall is a short drive north. You can visit the forts like Housesteads or Chesters. Corbridge is a few miles away, with nice shops and places to eat by the river.
You can drive to Newcastle or Durham in about forty minutes. The Northumberland coast, like Alnwick or Bamburgh, is just over an hour away.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, and bedding and towels are included. No pets.
