Dilston Cottage Nr Corbridge
This is Dilston Cottage. It's attached to our farmhouse here at Dilston New Town. We've just finished the work on it, so everything inside is new.
It's an annexe so it's just the one bedroom, but it sleeps four. There's a double bed and a sofa bed in the living area. One bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.
You've got your own enclosed garden out the back, which is nice. Parking is right there on the drive.
Inside, the kitchen area is bright because of the big velux windows. We've put in a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and a TV.
We're in a rural spot but Corbridge village is only about a mile away. You can walk it if you don't mind a country lane. Corbridge has some good little shops and places for tea or a pint. The nearest pub is a short walk from the cottage.
Because of the layout with the sofa bed, it's probably best for a couple or a small family. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
You're well placed for getting out. Hexham is ten minutes by car. For Roman history, you've got Corbridge Roman Town right there and Hadrian's Wall sites all along the road. The Northumberland National Park and the Kielder area are within half an hour for walking. Newcastle city centre is about a 25 minute drive if you need something bigger.
