Chareside Cottage is on Main Street in Corbridge. It's a two-storey end terrace, built in the 1800s. You're right in the middle of the village here.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place has been renovated, so it's comfortable and warm. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep.
From the main bedroom, there's a small verandah. You get a view of the River Tyne from it. On a good day, it's a nice spot to sit.
You're a minute's walk from the shops, pubs, and a restaurant. The co-op is close for essentials. The river and the old bridge are just down the lane, St Mary's Chare.
You're well placed for Roman history. Housesteads Fort and Vindolanda are about a 20-minute drive. Hexham is three miles away for the abbey and a bigger supermarket.
For a day out, you can drive to the coast or up into Northumberland National Park. Both are within half an hour. Northumberland National Park has all the walking route information.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a shower over the bath. Parking is on the street outside the cottage, which is usually fine. No pets.
