The Smithy
The Smithy is in Ovington, Northumberland. It's a detached stone cottage from the 1850s. It's at the end of a quiet lane.
It sleeps three. One bedroom and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and has what you need, but it's not luxurious.
The village has a local pub you can walk to. Prudhoe is about a mile away for shops. There's a Riverside Country Park there by the River Tyne.
You're in the Tyne Valley. Hexham is 13 miles west. It's a nice market town with the abbey. Gateshead and Newcastle are about the same distance east, for more shops and the arts stuff.
For days out, Hadrian's Wall is right on the doorstep. You can walk sections of it from lots of car parks. Corbridge Roman Town is a short drive and worth a look.
Facilities: bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi, a TV, and an electric vehicle charger. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's bike storage. We accept up to two dogs.
