Camellia Cottage is on a quiet lane in Corbridge. It's a two-up two-down terrace, brick built. Sleeps three, two bedrooms, one bathroom.
The cottage is rated 4 Star. It's comfortable. There's a log burner in the living room. The kitchen has an Aga, which heats the place as well as cooks. You'll know how to use one or you won't, but the instructions are there.
There's a small enclosed garden out the back, which is handy. It feels private, even though you're only a minute's walk from the main street with its shops and pubs.
The village itself is old, built with Roman stones. It's a proper village with butchers, bakers, a few nice places to eat. You can walk to the River Tyne from the cottage in five minutes. There are some free fishing rights on the river, details are in the house folder.
For days out, Hexham is ten minutes up the road. It has the Abbey and a big market. Hadrian's Wall is a twenty minute drive. The main sites to visit are all about that distance: Housesteads Roman Fort, Cragside near Rothbury, and Cherryburn. Newcastle city centre is about half an hour away.
For walks, you can follow the river or get straight onto the Hadrian's Wall Path. The wider countryside is good for cycling if you bring bikes.
You can bring one dog. Parking is on-site for one car. All bedding and towels are provided. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and a cot and highchair if needed.
