Woodburn Cottage

Woodburn Cottage is on a small lane in Corbridge. It’s detached, so you won’t share any walls. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you’re bringing dogs.

It sleeps six across three bedrooms and has two bathrooms. One bathroom has a roll-top bath and a separate walk-in shower. It’s got a 5 Star rating, so it’s well equipped and finished to a good standard.

The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There’s a woodburning stove in the living room. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.

Corbridge is a nice village. There’s a shop about fifteen yards from the cottage, and a pub and restaurant are about thirty yards away. The River Tyne is at the bottom of the village.

Hadrian’s Wall is a few miles north. Good for walking. The Northumberland National Park is on your doorstep if you want proper hikes.

Within half an hour you can get to Hexham, which has an abbey. Newcastle’s about half an hour east if you want a city day. To the north, you’ve got Kielder Water and Forest. The National Trust looks after a few sites along the Wall if you’re interested in the Roman history.

The coast, like Alnmouth or Bamburgh, is about an hour’s drive. Durham is just under an hour south.
