The Coach House is in Riding Mill. It's our converted coach house, so it's in the grounds of our main house. You've got your own driveway and a private garden. It's detached and quiet.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's a very comfortable, well-fitted place. One bedroom is on the ground floor with its own shower room.
The main thing upstairs is the master bedroom has a big copper bath tub right in the room. It's a feature. The stairs are fine.
There's a separate garden room with another wood burner and a big table. Good if some people want a bit of space. The main living room has a wood burner too. Kitchen's got a range cooker and a dishwasher.
Riding Mill village is a short walk. There's a pub that does food. Corbridge is about three miles away. Nice little place by the River Tyne, good for a walk and there are a few places to eat.
You're well placed here. Hexham is about ten miles. Hadrian's Wall is very close. Housesteads Roman Fort and Vindolanda are the main ones to look at. Both within a 20-30 minute drive.
You can get to Newcastle in about half an hour if you want a city day. The coast, like Bamburgh or Alnwick Garden, is about an hour to an hour and a half's drive.
Facilities: everything's included, bedding, towels. There's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a BBQ. We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
