The Coach House
The Coach House is in Riding Mill. It's detached, in the grounds of our house, but it's completely private. There's a proper enclosed garden and parking for three cars.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, so no arguments over the shower. It's got a 5 star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
Good kitchen with a range cooker. A separate garden room with its own wood burner. The main bedroom has a free-standing copper bath in it. It's quite a feature.
The village has a pub that does food, about a fifteen minute walk. Corbridge is three miles away. Nice little town, good for a wander and a coffee. The river's nice there.
You're in a good spot for the main things. Hexham is about fifteen minutes by car, it's got an abbey and shops. The Roman sites on Hadrian's Wall are within half an hour, like Housesteads Fort or Chesters. For planning a trip, the English Heritage site is useful.
The coast, like Alnwick Castle or Bamburgh, is a bit further, maybe an hour and a half. Worth a day trip if you fancy a beach.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, washing machine, TV. A cot and highchair if you need them. We allow up to two dogs.
