The Lodge is near Hexham, on the Slaley Hall estate. It's a big three-storey wooden building, sleeps ten. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The main living area is upstairs. High ceilings, big windows, doors out to a deck. The kitchen and dining area is on that floor too, so it's all one space. Downstairs are the bedrooms. Two have en-suites. The garden at the back is big and fully enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or dogs. There's a hot tub on the patio.
You're right in the middle of the golf courses here. The views are over the fairways and woods towards the Cheviot hills. It's very quiet. The nearest pub is a good walk down the road, about half a mile, maybe a bit more.
You get access to the Slaley Hall resort facilities. That means the two golf courses, the spa, and the hotel restaurants and bar. You book and pay for those separately through the hotel.
Location wise, Hexham is about ten minutes by car. Nice market town, decent shops, Hexham Abbey. Corbridge is about the same distance, good for a wander and a coffee. You're right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. Hadrian's Wall is very close. You can be at Housesteads Roman Fort in under twenty minutes.
For facilities: it's detached, plenty of parking. Wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. There's a wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ. We can provide a highchair. No pets allowed, sorry.
