Bullions Farm Cottage is on our farm, here on Kiln Pit Hill. It's a detached stone cottage at the side of the main farmhouse. You get your own enclosed garden. There's a hot tub out there.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It was refurbed a few years ago, so it's in good order. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. It's a working beef farm, so you'll see the Belted Galloway cows and the big Clydesdale horses out in the fields.
The cottage is right on the A68. You will hear some traffic, but it quietens down at night. Inside, you've got a decent kitchen and living room downstairs. Upstairs is fine, the ceilings are a bit low in places, that's just how it's built.
There's a pub about a mile down the road, the Errington Arms. They do good food. For a shop you'll need to drive into Corbridge, which is about four miles. It's a nice historic town with independent shops and places to eat.
You're well placed for getting around. Hexham's close, with its abbey and market. Hadrian's Wall is all along here, so walking and Roman forts are on the doorstep. National Trust Housesteads Fort is a good one. Beamish Museum is about a 25 minute drive, it's excellent for a day out.
If you're a golfer, Slaley Hall is ten minutes away. Newcastle and Durham are both within about forty minutes by car if you want a city day.
In the cottage you've got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can take one well-behaved dog.
